A Study in Patience

Not every cat starts a photo session ready for the spotlight. Maple, a beautiful orange tabby, was quite shy when I first arrived for her Seattle pet portrait session. Working with shy cats requires a slow, patient approach. After some quiet time, a few pets, and the magic of a Churu treat, Maple began to let her guard down. Capturing her transition from cautious to curious was a highlight of this session. It’s a reminder that with enough time (and the right snacks), even the most reserved cats have a story to share. I’m so glad I got to capture the sweet, gentle side of this lovely orange girl.
