Nineteen Years of Companionship: A Portrait of Lilou

It isn’t every day I get to photograph a cat who is 19 years young. Lilou is a beautiful reminder of the deep, lifelong bond between a pet and their family. Despite her senior status, she brought a surprising amount of kitten-like energy to our Seattle pet photography session.

We spent the afternoon documenting her favorite things, from her impressive wardrobe, to her beloved floppy fish toy, her favorite boot and, of course, a few Churu treats. Beyond her solo portraits, it was incredibly moving to capture the quiet, tender moments between Lilou and her parents. Seeing how they interact after nineteen years together really highlighted the depth of their connection. I’m honored to have captured these memories of a truly special cat who has been a constant companion for nearly two decades.
